The Spin welcomes back one of the most exciting and original guitarists in the country with his stellar line up of players that form the band ‘Dreamweavers’.
Chris Allard is primarily a contemporary jazz guitarist but is at home in a huge variety of musical genres. He has recorded seven original albums to date, garnering critical acclaim including four stars in Jazzwise, Jazz Journal, Guitarist and BBC Music magazines.
A very edited resumé will reveal that Chris has worked with such A-listers as Dame Cleo Laine, Sir John Dankworth, Omar Kamal, the BBC Big Band, Jamie Cullum, Gwilym Simcock, Alison Balsom OBE, Sheridan Smith, Ken Peplowski and Lea Salonga. With such artists, he has performed all over the world, including at The Royal Albert Hall, The Barbican, Montreux Jazz Festival, O2 Arena London, Midem Festival (Cannes), The Queen Elizabeth Hall, Beiteddine Arts Festival (Lebanon), Duoro Jazz Festival (Portugal), Spring of Culture Festival (Bahrain), The Royal Festival Hall, and the BBC Proms in Hyde Park.
At the Spin the band will feature music from Dreamweaver’s latest albums ‘Woven in Time’ and ‘Melodic Collective’; these make use of contemporary jazz harmony and rhythm, long-form compositions, rock-infused elements and atmospheric soundscapes. The line up comprises:
Chris Allard – guitar
John Turville – piano
Dudley Phillips – bass
Nick Smalley - drums
This promises to be a very special night of high-class, engaging music. Don’t miss out folks…book NOW!!

Returns Policy:
As these Sunday shows require extra admin on our side, we're unfortunately unable to accept ticket returns for these events. Thanks for your understanding.
A note about the venue:
- We have brought the ‘doors’ time forward to 6pm as food is popular at the OXTWO. This allows for orders to be better staggered over the course of the evening.
- We seat people as much as possible on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. This means that those who buy tickets first are allocated the better seats (as opposed to that allocation being for those that show up first on the night)…so, BOOK NOW (and also save £5 off the ticket prices with our early bird deal)!!
- We are ready to support people who have additional accessibility needs, please let us know in advance via the contact form in order for our team of volunteers to design the assigned seating plan to accommodate you.
- There is no dedicated parking for the venue, but there are local car parks and on-street parking available in Summertown.
