The Spin is delighted to be in partnership with Music At Oxford for this concert, featuring three of the UK’s greatest jazz musicians working on the International concert circuit.

The group is:

Tim Garland: Saxophones

Gwilym Simcock: Piano

Malcolm Creese: Double bass

The music is a beautiful mix of lyrical, compelling originals and various works that sit perfectly with this line up. To get a picture of what you might expect, you might easily form this if you consider:

Tim Garland was head-hunted by Chick Corea and formed part of his international touring band for several years.

Gwilym Simcock became part of Pat Metheny’s touring band and is the pianist on Metheny’s latest album release, ‘From This Place’

Malcolm Creese’s career has spanned classical and jazz at the highest level, performing with the major London orchestras and in jazz, with George Benson, George Shearing, Art Farmer, Diana Ross, Stan Tracey and Cleo Lane….to name but a few.
