We welcome back to the Spin this occasional collective of like-minded artists, whose aim is to deliver a programme of super-engaging, fiery and gorgeous music. As ever, the band is delighted to feature the incredible, virtuosic pianist, David Gordon!
The Independent on Sunday described our keyboard wizard as “a richly gifted player with a sparkling style and boundless imagination”, and UK Jazz as “one of our most brilliant pianists”.
And quite right too! There’s nowhere near enough space here to illustrate David’s breadth of work at the very highest level! So, a snapshot of his CV:
Jazz: collaborations with virtuoso players, including (Spin favourite) John Law; violinist extraordinaire, Chris Garrick; ‘jazz royalty’ Jacqui Dankworth. David has also performed dozens of times at Ronnie Scott’s and at countless other major venues.
Classical: David is also a virtuoso harpsichord player and has toured the world with orchestras of the likes of ‘The English Concert’
Tango: David has been a pivotal member of acclaimed bands Zum and The London Tango Quintet (http://londontangoquintet.com/)
Flight of Hand will likely be playing works by the following maestros: Ralph Towner, Lyle Mays, Mike Walker, David Gordon, Pat Metheny etc.

A note about the venue:
- The bar at Tap Social is card payment only.
- We seat people as much as possible on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. This means that those who buy tickets first are allocated the better seats (as opposed to that allocation being for those that show up first on the night)…so, BOOK NOW (and also save money on ticket prices with our early bird deal)!!
- We are ready to support people who have additional accessibility needs, please let us know in advance via the contact form in order for our team of volunteers to design the assigned seating plan to accommodate you.
