N.B. these prices include your first drink such as Brewmish Pale Ale, Guinness or Birra Moretti, a glass of house red/white or rose wine such as the fresh and vibrant Coquille der Mer Vermentino or the smooth Perdido Tempranillo. Of course, for those driving; non alcoholic alternatives are also available.
Also: the food is excellent at OXTWO: come and make an evening of it: the kitchen is open from 5.30pm to 8pm and if you would like to reserve a table, please drop OXTWO a message on info@oxtwo.co.uk. Coming for dinner beforehand is an ideal way to ensure a great table!
It is with great pleasure that we bring back the fabulous saxophonist and composer, Julian Costello. Julian has performed several times at The Spin over the years and has always wooed and wowed the audiences with his charming, lyrical, bamboozling saxophonic flights of fancy! This is not just The Spin’s point of view; see this from ‘Jazz in Europe’:
“Julian Costello is a sax lyricist, telling his stories of life’s ups and downs with perfect alteration of tone to impart strength, humour and even frailty at times.”

With his own projects, Julian has toured all over Europe, in particular, France, Belgium, Germany and Poland. This promises to be a beautiful and groovesome way to re-ignite the club at OXTWO after the Christmas break! The band will also feature ace bassist Andy Hamill (the brilliant player that many of you heard at the Roger Beaujolais gig!) and the ever-popular drummer (of Hejira acclaim!), Rick Finlay.
A brief note about the pricing change: basically, it remains the same for you! We, (The Spin) will effectively be buying your first drink from the ticket price; we’ve settled on this format to help support the venue – as there have been some audience members that have just imbibed tap water for the evening! The venue needs to make the evening viable…

As these Sunday shows require extra admin on our side, we're unfortunately unable to accept ticket returns for these events. Thanks for your understanding.
A note about the venue:
- We have brought the ‘doors’ time forward to 6pm as food is popular at OXTWO. This allows for orders to be better staggered over the course of the evening.
- We seat people as much as possible on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. This means that those who buy tickets first are allocated the better seats (as opposed to that allocation being for those that show up first on the night)…so, BOOK NOW (and also save £5 off the ticket prices with our early bird deal)!!
- We are ready to support people who have additional accessibility needs, please let us know in advance via the contact form in order for our team of volunteers to design the assigned seating plan to accommodate you.
- There is no dedicated parking for the venue, but there are local car parks and on-street parking available in Summertown.
