Two of the finest improvisers in British jazz join us on stage for what promises to be a memorable evening. Art Themen and John Donaldson, between them, have played with some of the greatest jazz musicians of our time.
Art has been at the forefront of saxophone playing in the UK for many years; he is probably best known for being a longstanding collaborator with the late Stan Tracey and is widely regarded as having one of the most individual voices on tenor sax that this country has heard. John Donaldson has spent time on both sides of the Atlantic, playing with some wonderful musicians in the process. He too is widely held to be one of the finest jazz pianists to have worked in the UK - his playing is compelling and inspirational.
