Brandon Allen With The Spin Trio
Thursday 25th April 2013
‘Brandon Allen is arguably the most exciting tenor player in Britain today. His phrasing is unashamedly emotional, soaked in the blues tradition’ - Jazzwise
Originally from Perth, Australia, saxophonist Brandon Allen is now something of a fixture on the London jazz scene. At home in jazz, funk and RnB, he has performed with an extraordinary range of great contemporary artists, inside and outside of jazz, including Eric Clapton, Mica Paris, Carleen Anderson, Adrian Utley(Porteshead), The BLOCKHEADS, Guy Barker, Natalie Williams, Mike Janisch, Laurence Cottle Big Band, Claire Martin, BBC Big Band, , Stan Tracey, Pete King, Gerard Presencer. He leads his own projects too which include the Brandon Allen Organ trio, the Brandon Allen Quartet with his main focus being the Brandon Allen Band (AKA Double Whiskey at Amnesia)...playing his own contemporary jazz and groove compositions.
A stunning performer. Do not miss.
