Gilad Atzmon With The Spin Trio
Thursday 21st September 2017
We begin our autumn programme with the extraordinary Gilad Atzmon, one of the most gifted saxophonists of his generation. Gilad took the British jazz scene by storm upon his arrival in the early 90s.
Gilad's playing brings in a host of influences - Parker, Coltrane, as well as broader world music influences - all creating a sound world that is utterly compelling.
Over the last twenty years, he has led a number of his own bands. The Orient House Ensemble has toured the world, playing most of the great jazz clubs and festivals round the globe. In recent years, he has also led his own projects that celebrate the work of Charlie Parker and John Coltrane.
We look forward to seeing for the first gig of the new season.
