A New Jazz Generation Gig!

Since the reopening of the Spin, post lockdown, the club has been enjoying on many occasions, the inclusion in the house band of the wonderful double bass player, Louis Stringer. For this next gig, we decided to ask Louis to bring his own band of future superstars - hence, we present the Louis Stringer Quartet!

The band is fronted by the keyboard wizard, Çenk Esen, a graduate of the famed Berkley jazz college in the U.S.. Whilst in the States, he got to work with such heavyweights (musicians - not boxers!) as John Patitucci, David Liebman and Terri Lyne Carrington. Esen already has three albums out under his own name.

The band also features the prize-winning guitarist, Julien Durand, the ever-inventive drummer Boo Richards and the leader, Louis Stringer on double bass.

Expect a night of gingerfizz, effervescent music - but played with a maturity and finesse that you might expect from a band with many more years under their collective belts!
