‘...Since John McLaughlin melted frets with the Mahavishnu Orchestra we have become used to frenetic guitar-led groups. None, however, quite mixes styles and sounds like that of Meier, a Swiss player as happy in flamenco and Arab melodies as he is in Western jazz...’ - John Bungey - The Times

Virtuoso guitar player, Nick Meier teams up with The Spin’s Pete Oxley and launch their great new duo album; as well as playing a selection of duets from the recording, two becomes four for the second half of the evening when the Spin rhythm section of Raf Mizraki and Mark Doffman join Nick and Pete for some hard driving grooves, and some great soloing.

Nick came to prominence on the European jazz scene, winning the Grand Jury Prize and Jazz Guitar Prize at Festival Juan Les Pins in 2005. Since that time he has led groups in the UK featuring some of the finest musicians in Europe, drummer Asaf Sirkis and Gilad Atzmon to name a few. Beyond, Nick’s passion for jazz, flamenco and Turkish music, he also leads his own nu-metal group, Seven.
