Theo Travis & The Spin Band

With a discography as long as your arm and a wallet rammed with air-miles from his extensive world touring, Theo Travis is justifiably one of the busiest saxophonists in the UK; it is something of a coup to have found a date in his schedule to come and perform at The Spin!

Theo’s jazz career quickly got off the ground with his own quartet (featuring the brilliant David Gordon on piano) - which has since performed at Ronnie Scott’s over 75 times. Along with his jazz work, Theo became connected some years ago with the ‘prog’ and ‘jazz-rock’ world and has, to date, recorded on over 160 albums. In the latter category, anybody interested in this genre might have heard Theo during world tours with such luminaries as:

Gong

David Gilmour (Pink Floyd)

Robert Fripp

Steve Hillage

Soft Machine (with whom he continues to tour extensively with).
