Saxophonist and flautist Theo Travis is a jazz adventurer with an international reputation as one of the brightest stars on the contemporary jazz scene. More precisely, he is also regarded as one of the foremost saxophonists and flautists in progressive music in the world. He has performed and recorded with Gong, Soft Machine Legacy, Robert Fripp, David Sylvian, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson Band, Bill Bruford, Keith Tippett, and works regularly with Zappa’s drummer of many years, Chad Wackerman.
He has appeared on over 110 albums, played Ronnie Scott’s in London over 75 times, and performed live and recorded in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Tokyo, Paris, Rome and beyond. His latest CD called ‘Follow’ is his third collaboration with guitar legend Robert Fripp. In 2011 he released a career spanning Anthology called ‘All I Know’.
