Without doubt, one of the most influential and respected of British tenor players of the contemporary period. Art's career began with his working on the London blues scene with Jack Bruce and Alexis Korner. From there, he went on to establish his reputation as a great jazz player - one of his most enduring associations was with another great - Stan Tracey – with whom Art played for over a twenty year period.
Art has also worked with many of the top American musicians on their visits to these shores such as George Coleman and Nat Adderley.
