LA based saxophonist, Benn Clatworthy, returns to these shores to tour the UK with the great John Donaldson on piano. After a number of years working on the UK jazz scene, Benn left to work in LA and make his home on the West Coast. An exceptionally fluent and powerful player, Benn went on to work with many of the great artists on the West Coast scene - Horace Silver, Billy Higgins, Otmaro Ruiz, Cedar Walton, as well as working as a session player for the likes of Cyndi Lauper, and the Temptations.
Joining Benn is one of the most exciting piano players in the UK, John Donaldson. John has long been the first choice pianist for many of the leading horn players in the country - Art Themen, Iain Ballamy, and Alan Barnes as well as accompanying many leading American artists such as Freddie Hubbard and Art Farmer.
Two superb musicians, compelling compositions and wonderful improvising. Join us for a great evening.
