John Etheridge’s Blue Spirits Trio

Described by Pat Metheny as 'one of the best guitarists in the world', John has been bewitching audiences with his playing for over four decades from his work with Soft Machine and Stephane Grappelli to his playing with Andy Summers, Birelli Lagrene, Nigel Kennedy and many more.
John is well known to Spin audiences but this is the first time he has brought his own group to the club as he brings his fabulous organ trio to the club for the first time. The trio shows a bluesier side of John's playing as they explore soulful ballads, fiery funk and hard driving swing - as John says, 'the aim is to groove and move'.
Featured in the group are the amazing, soulful playing of Pete Whitaker on Hammond and the phenomenal groove playing of George Double on drums. Together, the trio make an incredible sound.
