Jonathan Gee With The Spin Trio

Jonathan Gee has been at the forefront of jazz in the UK for over twenty years. His playing includes stints with some of the biggest names in jazz - Joe Lovano, Benny Golson, Pharaoh Sanders to name a few. In addition to his working in other players' bands, Jon is known for leading his own piano trios. Over the course of his career, he has led a series of groundbreaking trios, most recently one with Americans, Nasheet Waits (drums) and Joseph LePore (bass). In the last couple of years, Jon has worked in New York, across the States and in Europe with this trio.
His piano playing is utterly distinctive but underpinned by his deep understanding of players such as Keith Jarrett, Lyle Mays, Chick Corea and Bill Evans. A thoroughly compelling musician.
