Liane Carroll

The Spin is truly delighted to welcome one of the greatest jazz performers that the UK has ever produced! Liane is a great pianist, a great singer and a great communicator. The club has genuinely been trying to book Liane for years (she was the first cancellation that the club had to make when Covid kicked in, back in March 2020!).

Liane has won all sorts of awards, including BBC Jazz Awards, Parliamentary Jazz Awards and the BASCA British Awards. She has toured all over the world - much with the brilliant Roger Carey on bass, who will also be performing at this gig!

The Guardian wrote of Liane: “she is a powerful, soul-inflected performer with an Ella Fitzgerald-like improv athleticism and an emotional frankness on ballads”

The Observer observed that Liane is “one of the most stylisitically flexible pianists around, with a marverllous, slightly husky singing voice”
