Mark Lockheart kicks off the new year with his trio project featuring two other superb musicians, Liam Noble on piano and Jasper Hoiby on double bass. Although the three of them have worked together over many years, it was at the Rochester International Jazz Festival in New York 2014 when the project came together.
Mark is regarded as one of the finest saxophonists and jazz composers of his generation; he has won Jazz Musician and Instrumentalist of the Year in 2010 and 2016 from two separate awarding bodies, and has appeared at festivals and clubs around the world, leading his own groups.
Now, with a second album Instinct released recently on Edition Records, the band appear at the club as part of a national tour.
