Roger has been at the forefront of the jazz scene in the UK since the 90s. His career took off with the Chevalier Brothers, the jump jive group that toured Europe for a decade, and after a short stint with Fairground Attraction, he went on to pursue a solo career and has never looked back.
His own groups have ranged between classic quartets playing the American songbook to acid jazz outfits. Most recently he has focused on playing his own jazz compositions and classic standards with a quartet featuring Robin Aspland, Winston Clifford and Simon Thorpe.
Superb, hard driving jazz. Not to be missed on Beajolais Nouveau night.
