We are delighted to welcome back the club’s most popular (and equally brilliant) trumpeter, Steve Waterman. It’s hard to know where to start in summarising Steve’s career, given the vast body of first-class work achieved - so in very brief, Steve’s CV includes:

- as a player, work with Carla Bley, Vince Mendoza, Andy Sheppard, John Surman etc. etc..

- as an educator, is currently visiting professor of jazz trumpet at Trinity College, London, Royal Northern College Of Music and the Welsh College of Music.

- as a composer, in addition to numerous commissions, Steve is one of only a handful of British composers to have pieces in the New European Real Book (Sher Music).

Backing Steve for this gig will be the house trio of Pete Oxley on guitar (who, as it happens, is also one of that handful of British jazz composers to have works published in the aforementioned Real Book!), new super-talent, Louis Stringer on bass and drums/percussion favourite, Keith Fairbairn on drums.

A note about the venue & ticket options: the Jam Factory is a lovely setting and food will be on offer before the gig! please see https://www.thejamfactoryoxford.com
