"The upper echelon of the jazz world is a place of constantly shifting alliances. But even by those standards, the Impossible Gentlemen is a rare and fabulous group of talents"  - The Times

The Impossible Gentlemen are Gwilym Simcock, Mike Walker, Adam Nussbaum and Steve Rodby, an extraordinary quartet that brings together two of the outstanding players on the British jazz scene and two of the biggest names in world jazz.

Gwilym Simcock on piano and Mike Walker on guitar have been pushing the boundaries of the music and garnering international reputations in the process over the last decade. Gwilym was recently described as a 'genius' by Chick Corea and has taken the jazz scene by storm in the last couple of years; his dazzling piano playing has seen him work with Kenny Wheeler, Lee Konitz and Dave Holland. Mike Walker on guitar is one of the outstanding musicians in Europe - working with Bill Frisell, Antony Braxton and Dave Holland.

From the States, we welcome Adam Nussbaum on drums whose career spans work with John Scofield, Stan Getz and the Gil Evans Orchestra; he won a Grammy for his recording with Mike Brecker in 1988. On bass is Steve Rodby; Steve has been the bassist for the Pat Metheny Group for over 30 years and as such is probably one of the most seen and heard bassists on the jazz planet - a wonderful player.

As you can imagine, tickets will go VERY quickly for this performance so please don't leave your booking too late.
