One of the pre-eminent jazz musicians in the UK - Tim Whitehead has continued to be a major presence in the UK since his band won Young Jazz Musicians of the Year in the late 1970s. In a forty year career, he was received many awards - BBC Jazz Album of the Year 1999,and Artist in Residence at Tate Britain in 2009 - just two of them.
Tim has worked with many of the leading jazz musicians in the UK and Europe - Jim Mullen, Gwilym Simcock, Giovanni Mirobassi, and many more. A great player who continues to amaze audiences with his passion and fluency.
