The Hugh Pascall Band

We are really delighted to be presenting this band of veritable super-stars for the first time at The Spin. We feel particularly lucky to have been able to book Hugh for this date, as he is about to embark on a project with the New York guitar guru, Peter Bernstein!

Hugh is a graduate of the Paris Conservatoire and rapidly developed an international career - which has garnered such quotes from the jazz press as:

“An outstanding soloist -The most beautiful, elegant and melodic delivery” – London Jazz News 

“Fluent, lyrical solos that unfold gradually and gracefully” – The Jazzmann 

The aforementioned band of superstars lists thus:

Hugh Pascall: trumpet & flugelhorn

Liam Dunachie: keyboards

Oli Hayhurst: double bass

Jay Davis: drums

These guys all have lengthy CVs which include work with all sorts of A-listers! But let’s just pick one guy, as an example! How about the bassist, Oli Hayhurst! Oli has toured and or/recorded with….amongst many others:

Pharaoh Sanders, Ray Gelato’s Giants, Jacqui Dankworth, Vanessa Mae, Tim Whitehead, Kurt Rosenwinlel, Cara Dillon, Gilad Atzmon, Kirk Lightsey….etc.etc.!

Folks….what’s more to say? - This promises to be a GREAT night of happening jazz music!
