Led by ace vocalist, Peter Jones, Zoöphyte is a band that authentically melds the boundaries between jazz and ‘pop’ - much in the way that Steely Dan (and the great Donald Fagen) has done for so many years!

And this is no real surprise: Peter has long been more than just a fan of said Fagen: he’s an aficionado that has published the comprehensive biography, ‘Nightfly: the life of Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen’.

So…Expect a night of slick and sassy songs from the writing partnership of Peter Jones and Trevor Lever, delivered with 'Dan-esque' panache by this all-star outfit (featuring the incredible saxophonist Vasilis Xenopoulos and massively-in-demand drummer, Sophie Alloway)

…and as the drummer usually gets the last credit, let’s put Sophie first here! In an impressive CV, Sophie’s career has seen her tour and record in many musical genres, with all sorts of major acts. These include world tours with rapper Roots Manuva, festival appearances at Bestival and Glastonbury, theatre touring with the musical, Michael Jackson’s ’Thriller’ and jazz work with such maestros as Michael Mondesir and Jason Rebello.

Add man-of-the-moment bassist, Misha Mullov-Abado, to the mix, plus keyboard wizard Benjamin Croft and trumpet supremo, Paul Jordanous - and, as you can imagine, this makes up a formidable band that is NOT TO BE MISSED!!!
