Orphy Robinson and Pat Thomas have both been at the heart of the jazz and improvised music scene in the UK since the 90s. Both in different ways have broken various moulds.

Orphy was the first British musician to be signed to the legendary US jazz label, Blue Note and his vibes playing has consistently crossed the boundaries  between free music, funk and jazz. As well as being a founder member of the Jazz Warriors, he was part of Savannah, one of the seminal UK soul/funk bands. Orphy currently tours and records  with Nigel Kennedy.

Pat Thomas, is respected as one of the most innovative pianists in Europe where he has tended to do most of his playing in the last decade.  In recognition of his work, he was rin 2014 awarded a Paul Hamlyn Foundation Award - a three year bursary that is to given to outstanding composers within contemporary music. Pat has played with most of the leading improvisers on the contemporary scene - Evan Parker, Tony Oxley to name a couple.  A phenomenal player.
