Benn Clatworthy & John Donaldson
LA based saxophonist, Benn Clatworthy, returns to these shores to tour the UK with the great John Donaldson on piano. After a number of years working on the UK jazz scene, Benn left to work in LA and make his home on the West Coast. An exceptionally fluent and powerful player, Benn went on to work with many of the great artists on the West Coast scene.
Kelvin Christiane with The Spin Trio
Kelvin Christiane has been one of the leading lights of the London jazz scene for many years. A commanding tenor player whose influences stretch from Roland Kirk to Michael Brecker, and one of the few players we know of who can play two horns at once and sound good.
Meier-Budjana Group feat. Jimmy Haslip
Nicolas Meier and Dewa Budjana, the Swiss and Indonesian virtuoso guitar players bring a stellar line-up to the club that features one of the world's great electric bassists, Jimmy Haslip (The Yellowjackets, Al Jarreau, Chaka Khan, Donald Fagen) and Asaf Sirkis, one of Europe's finest drummers.
Josephine Davies With The Spin Trio
Josephine is one of the leading contemporary jazz saxophonists in the UK, forging a reputation as a leading improviser and composer. Coming up through the ranks of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Josephine has gone on to play with the very best: in the last few years, she has been working with the London Jazz Orchestra, the Laurence Cottle Big Band, and also leads her own groups, Satori and the Josephine Davies Quintet.
Jonathan Gee With The Spin Trio
Jonathan Gee has been at the forefront of jazz in the UK for over twenty years. His playing includes stints with some of the biggest names in jazz - Joe Lovano, Benny Golson, Pharaoh Sanders to name a few. In addition to his working in other players' bands, Jon is known for leading his own piano trios.
Gilad Atzmon With The Spin Trio
We begin our autumn programme with the extraordinary Gilad Atzmon, one of the most gifted saxophonists of his generation. Gilad took the British jazz scene by storm upon his arrival in the early 90s.
Theo Travis With The Spin Trio

Theo has consistently been one of the top saxophonists in the UK and Europe for over two decades. His fantastic playing sees him touring and recording with the Soft Machine Legacy Band.
John Parricelli With The Spin Trio
John Parricelli is one of the key figures on the British jazz scene of the last 20 years. He came to prominence in Loose Tubes, the big band that changed much of the sound and feel of jazz in this country in the 1990s.
Jon Shenoy's Draw by Four
The club welcomes a great band to the club for the first time. With a line-up steeped in tradition, Jon Shenoy's Draw By Four takes the classic 60s organ quartet into brand new territory where the compositions from leader Jon Shenoy (Ivo Neame Large Ensemble) mix contrapuntal bass lines and rhythmic hooks with thoughtful lyricism.
Art Themen & Rod Hart With The Spin Trio
An icon in British jazz, Art Themen, remains a musical hero for so many players. One of the greats over the last few decades and playing as great and fresh as ever...he is a remarkable improviser and it's always a pleasure to have him play the club. Another great pleasure is to have Rod Hart playing with us on piano; Rod is one of the key jazz musicians on the Brighton scene - a superb standards player with great feel and time.

Christian Brewer With The Spin Trio

It is a delight to welcome Italian trumpeter, Fulvio Sigurta to the club for the first time. A brilliant musician - Fulvio won a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, before coming to London and winning prizes galore at the Guildhall School of Music.

One of the most compelling performers in modern jazz, it is a pleasure to welome Jonathan Kreisberg and his group, once again, to The Spin- one of only a handful of gigs in the UK before the band go to Europe.
Phil Peskett With The Spin Trio
