Nigel Price is a phenomenal guitarist, steeped in the traditions of bop and blues and one of the hardest grooving players around. In 2010 his organ trio won Best Jazz Ensemble in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards, and in 2014 was shortlisted for Best Guitarist in the British Jazz Awards.
Theo Travis’ Double Talk
Tenor saxophonist, Theo Travis, has been at the forefront of jazz, fusion and progressive rock for about three decades. Apart from leading his own highly acclaimed bands, he has been recently touring with David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, The Soft Machine Legacy Band with John Etheridge, has recorded and toured with Robert Fripp of King Crimson, and worked with the legendary Gong.

John came to the attention of the wider musical public when he joined Soft Machine in 1975 and shortly after also became part of Stephane Grapelli's group. To be part of such different bands is testament to his incredible gifts as a guitarist and musician.
John Parricelli & Ric Bolton
John Parricelli has been at the forefront of contemporary music for the last 20 years and in that time has worked with some of the finest musicians in jazz - drummer Peter Erskine (ex Weather Report), Andy Sheppard, Lee Konitz and Kenny Wheeler to name a handful. Beyond his jazz work, John is also one of the most sought after session players in the country - you will have heard his playing on many British movies of the last decade and more.
Sirkis Bialas International Quartet
The second of our international groups this season is the Sirkis Bialas International Quartet. Led by Asaf Sirkis on drums and Polish vocalist Sylwia Bialas, this is a world-class group also featuring two other virtuosi - Frank Harrison on keyboards and Patrick Bettison on bass.

A really great pleasure to welcome Joel Harrison and his New York group back to Oxford, after playing the Spin a little over a decade ago. Joel is one of the most respected guitar players and composers in New York - he was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2010 and his recording/performing CV reads like a who's who of contemporary music.
